About
An event dedicated to exploring all things AI Engineering! Event partner: Oracle π 5:30 pm β 6:00 pm Welcome and Opening Remarks π€ Marijan Cipcic, Principal Events Manager at Daytona
π 6:00 pm β 6:15 pm Talk "Give the Model a Computer: The One Thing Every AI Agent Framework Agrees On" π€ Mislav Ivanda, DeEx Engineer at Daytona Outline: Building an agent is easy. Deciding where its code runs is the part that follows you to production. This talk comes from a year of building Daytona integrations across the agent ecosystem: LangChain, CrewAI, Google ADK, Mastra, Pydantic AI, the OpenAI Agents SDK, and a long tail behind them. Integration after integration, the same pattern kept surfacing. Frameworks that agree on nothing, not even the language, not the mental model, not who controls the flow, all converge on one identical primitive: give the model a computer. We'll trace why. Every framework ends up facing the same question: where does the model's code actually run? Only three answers exist, and two of them stop holding once real users show up. That's why the past year went the way it did, with frameworks deleting their own code interpreters rather than defending defaults they couldn't. And that's why the computer keeps growing: first a tool call, then the place the agent lives, then a thousand machines at once. You'll leave with one rule: pick the boundary before the framework. Frameworks are opinions. The boundary is a commitment.
π 6:15 pm β 6:30 pm Talk "Building AI for the Real World: From Infrastructure to Scale" π€ Balraj Kadaikal, Senior Manager, Cloud Engineering at Oracle π€ Srikanth Kodali, Master Principal Cloud Architecture at Oracle Outline: AI applications are evolving rapidly as developers face increasing demands for performance, scalability, access to data, and reliability in production. In this session, weβll take a practical look at the infrastructure and architectural considerations behind building and scaling modern AI applications. Weβll explore how compute, networking, storage, models, and data come together to support different AI workloads, including inference, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), agentic applications, and model training. Weβll also discuss how architectural requirements change as applications move from experimentation to production, using Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to illustrate these patterns and tradeoffs. This talk aims to provide architectural insights, lessons learned, and real-world considerations for developers, engineers, architects, and technology leaders building and scaling AI applications.
π 6:30 pm β 6:45 pm Talk "Agents are going to kill your service" π€ Tom Hacohen, Founder & CEO at Svix Outline: Agent traffic is multiplying every day, and no one is doing anything about it. Github, with their uptime challenges over the last year, is the canary in the coal-mine. Agent induced load is coming for everyone's services, and without preparation they will lead to significant cost increases, complexity, and uptime challenges. Agents are useful when they can react to events in real-time with sufficient context, which in practice leads to them continuously polling upstream services for updates and for fetching current information. This new reality requires a shift in architecture, and the new world will need to be event-driven to survive. In this talk, Tom will describe the complexity of exponential growth of agent traffic and how it will threaten your systems, review the solutions and their trade-offs, and talk about where we will inevitably end up when the dust settles.
π 6:45 pm β 7:00 pm Talk "Compute on Loan: Giving AI Agents Memory They Can't Steal From" π€ Vasilije Markovic, Founder at Cognee Outline: Two AI agents, each in its own throwaway cloud sandbox, share a persistent memory. The supervisor writes a briefing, the worker picks it up, does the job, and reports back β and even though the worker gets the whole memory on disk, it cannot read the supervisor's private notes.
π 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm Networking With pizzas and beverages
