Want to build? RSVP for the Build Weekend (Fri Oct 23 – Sat Oct 24): luma.com/onzzmytl Spooky Civic AI Hackathon: Demo Day Free. Open to everyone. No approval needed, just RSVP. Sun Oct 25, 2–5pm, in person in Midtown or on Zoom. You don't need to have built anything. Come watch, cheer, and meet people. What happens Teams show the AI tools they built in one weekend to help New York City, across 4 tracks: The Existential Track (climate), Urban Nightmares (housing, healthcare, education, justice), Ghost in the Machine (AI infrastructure), and Physical AI for Good (robots). Every team shows at a science-fair table, then the top 5 demo on stage. Judges pick the winners. Prizes (cash prizes go to the whole team) Physical AI for Good, led by Viam: our biggest cash prize Best overall: picked from the top 5 teams on stage Fellows-only prize: cash plus a 1:1 session with a tech recruiter People's choice: the room votes Costume contest: come dressed up Who should come? Anyone curious about AI or civic tech: friends of builders, people thinking about joining a future hackathon, nonprofit and city folks looking for new tools, and anyone who wants to see what's possible. Where: Midtown Manhattan. The exact address and the Zoom link go to everyone who RSVPs. Partners: Viam (robot arm kits + mentors), Vonage (food + API credits), Tavily (search API credits for every builder) Costumes encouraged.
In-person spots are limited and approved on a rolling basis. Virtual is always open: anyone can join on Zoom.
